Military Parade and Drumhead Service
Sunday, 30th July 2017 10am-12noon (approx.)

In proud partnership with Legion Scotland, we pay tribute to the fallen and all who served and continue to serve our country in the cause of freedom. The Parade will include men of The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland as well as 51st Highland, 7th Battalion. Legion Scotland will be strongly represented: National and Branch Standards will be on parade, as well as veterans, supported by a number of Legion Pipe Bands. Other veterans will take part, together with Cadets and youth organisations. The Salute will be taken by Major General M L Riddell-Webster, CBE DSO, Governor of Edinburgh Castle. The Parade will be followed by a Drumhead Service in Crieff’s historic Market Park, music for which will be provided by the Military Bands of 7 SCOTS and 6 SCOTS.

Following the commemorative ceremonial, Legion Scotland will present a family event in the Market Park - games and bouncy castles for the children, charity stalls, competitions, re-enactments, all culminating in a Retreat Parade to bring a fitting end to the day. Entry will be free, but donations to Poppy Scotland will be invited.
